Cancer Awareness Drive at DAV Patiala

To mark Cancer Awareness Day, a Power Point Presentation was shown at DAV Public school Patiala for classes X to XII by Dr. Sumit Sohal from Govt. Rajindra College & Hospital, Patiala. He awared the students about this dreadful disease. Its causes, symptoms consequences and preventive measures were explained in details. He motivated the students to avoid taking tobacco, cigarette smoking and drinking alcohol as these has become the major causes of Cancer among males. To reduce rate of cervical cancer in females, the importance of vaccination against this disease was stressed upon. The presentation was followed by an interactive session with students by Mrs. Anita Kataria and Dr. Sonia.

Principal S R Prabhakar thanked Dr. Sumit for providing such an awaring and beneficial information on the occasion of World Cancer Day and motivated the students to lead a healthy life.
