Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign
 


To mark the auspicious occasion on Gandhi Jayanti and Birthday of Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, a special assembly was conducted in the premises of DAV Public School, Patiala. The assembly began with the floral tribute offered to the above mentioned freedom fighters by the school staff & students. The school choir under the guidance of Music teacher Mrs. Rajneet Kaur presented Gandhiji’s loving bhajan “Vaishnav Janto Tene Kahiye Re…” in their melodious voice.

To commence the Clean India, Clean School Campaign, the staff and the students administered the oath to keep our surroundings clean. A month long schedule of activities has been planned such as cleanliness of different venues of the school, presentation of thought, Multi Media Presentation, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Inter Class Cleanliness and Collage Making Competitions would be held throughout the month.
Principal S. R. Prabhakar in his message said that there could have been no other befitting tribute to the Father of The Nation. He added that cleanliness is not confined to the surroundings only but cleanliness of mind and spirit as well.  He said that Gandhi ji was not a common man but he was a great leader. He inspired people to move on to the path of truth and non-violence. Further he said we should adopt high ideas, hard work and simple living from the life of Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The program concluded with the DAV Anthem followed by the National Anthem.
