World Computer Literacy Day

Computer Technology is so built into the lives that it is a part of every person’s life and ICT is now indispensable part of our lives in order to acknowledge the said idea, DAV Public School Patiala today observed world computer Literacy Day , in yet another useful and unique manner wherein about 250 students were furnished with the most sensitive and one of the commonly faced trouble of computer and internet usage which is ‘Cybercrime and Cyber bullying’.

Ms. Aarshdeep (Computer Teacher) while conducting a seminar touched many cybercrime issues such as hacking, Denial of service attack, Virus dissemination, software piracy, child abuse, IRC crimes, credit and fraud.

She also suggested and equipped the students with the cybercrime laws which majorly deal with child abuse. She also guided about the role of school in controlling these crimes. She pleaded the parents to monitor their children while they use internet.

Principal SR Prabhakar while appreciating the computer department and Ms. Aarshdeep for conducting such meaningful seminar quoted that “The fact that computer has become inseparable part of our lives cannot be ignored but as every flower has a throne similarly it has few limitations which are exploited by fickle minded people, being today ‘s generation should be aware about these cybercrimes and should be vigilant enough to fight against it”.
