INDEPENDENCE FERVOR BRIMS AT DAV PATIALA

Patriotism verve, enthusiasm and ebullience were witnessed at the premises of DAV Patiala while celebrating 71stIndependence Day. Principal S. R. Prabhakar, Chief Guest of the day alongwith Mrs. Saroj Prabhakar, Guest of Honour unfurled the National Flag on the tunes of National Anthem. While congratulating everyone on this auspicious occasion quoted that Independence which we cherish today is the result of sacrifices and efforts made by martyrs thinking down the memory lane he recalled how the Nation has climbed the stains of progress with each passing year and has proved its worth in every global sphere.

The ablazing trail of activities to embellish the gala event commenced with melodious ‘Vande Matram’ which further boosted the patriotic fervor. The choreography based upon PT, gymnastics and yoga aptly gave the message of healthy body and mind. Releasing of tricolor balloons in saffron, white and green filled the ambience with the pride to be Indian. The song ‘Gaurav Ki Gatha’ truly depicted the saga behind the glorification of the country. Choreography ‘Natkhat Gopal’ celebrated the birth anniversary of ever loved favorite icon of every heart ‘Shri Krishna’. Choreography ‘Salaam India’ with its flawless presentation won every applause.               ‘Radha Krishan Ki Athkheliyan’ proved to be true picture of playful pranks shared by Legend Radha & Krishan. To depict the soil and folk of land of five rivers, ‘Giddha’ was presented with full vigour. ‘Go Govinda’ gave spectators the view of ‘Matki Phod Ceremony’ often practiced as a devotion for Lord Krishna. In the same series, Story depiction, Choreography of ‘Kalia Naag Deha’ portrayed the fable displaying the powers of Lord Krishna.

During the programme 17 students who performed exceedingly well in Olympiads were also honored with the Certificates of Appreciation. The school was also awarded as the                        ‘Best School’ by the ‘National Olympiad Foundation’. In addition to it 18 teachers who acted as Master Trainers during various workshops organized by DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, New Delhi were also honored. The ‘Result Bulletin-2017’ rendering Academic Achievements of the students at AISSE & AISSCE – 2017 was also released. The finale item ‘Bhangra’ proved to be ‘Cherry on the Cake’ and further rose the ardor of Independence Day. The Vote of Thanks was presented by Mrs. Ramnish Kansal. The program concluded with the National Anthem.

Sh. Kaka Ram Verma, eminent socialite and Sh. N. D. Mittal, President Lions Club Patiala were also present on the occasion.
