To commence with the celebration of Teacher’s Day, an informative, meaningful and applicable seminar stressing on healthy eating habits was organised in DAV premises, during which Sh. Pramod K. Sharma (Ex DEO, Patiala & Sangrur) acted as the Resource Person and shared valuable tips for maintaining and conditioning of good health. He handed out functional tips regarding healthy eating habits. He quoted that is we consume healthy food then we don’t need to take medicines, so we should calculatively plan our diet according to the body needs. He further focused on the eating of detoxicating food such as raw onions and garlic to detoxify ourselves. He also motivated to add more and more live food such as salad, fruits & sprouts which can turn into miraculous.
He also shared that disease like cancer can be cured by eating turmeric, grapes, honey in our diet. He further motivated the teachers to meditate twice a day and practice yoga as it is the only way to prevent many diseases and internal cleaning of organs. He also inspired the august gathering of about 100 teachers to value human body and takes its proper care.
Principal S. R. Prabhakar while thanking the resource person said that the purpose of the seminar is to reach & teach the students about healthy eating & staying fit by educating their teachers as it is the implicit way of grooming them for healthy eating habits as young children are going far from traditional way of eating. The programme concluded by presenting award of honour and Bamboo sticks to Sh. Pramod K. Sharma.
