Lohri, the vibrant festival of Punjab which offers a panorama  of our culture was celebrated with a lot of exuberance and fanfare  in the D.A .V Public School Patiala. The mood on the campus was upbeat  and students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. The children of DAV Public School Patiala presented an extravagant show of colour and festivity on the occasion of Lohri. The assembly enlightened everyone about the legend behind Lohri, the way it is celebrated in North India and its significance. The feeling of trance was bought by melodious vocals' Sundar mundariye'and vivacious folk dance by the students. The symbolic bonfire was shown and the distribution of Prasad was also portrayed. After which the children dazzled the stage with a beautiful performance on Bhangra and gidda on traditional folk songs of Punjab . The assembly spread the Euphoria of Lohri among the audience and left them spellbound . Students relished the festive treats like groundnut Rewari ,gachak etc . The staff also joined in the festivities with great zeal while singing and dancing to traditional beats. The staff shared festival delicacies sitting around the bonfire making it a day filled with joy,unity and cultural Pride. Principal Vivek Tiwari addressed the students explaining the significance of the festival and its cultural importance. He highlighted  how Lohri marks the end of winter and harvest of Rabi crops, symbolizing prosperity and gratitude towards nature  . He emphasized on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and how such celebrations installations of unity and joy among the people.
