76th Republic Day celebrated with patriotic fervor and zeal

DAV Public School Patiala celebrated 76 th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour ; it is one of the most important days in India. It is celebrated every year on January 26 to honour the day when the Indian Constitution came into effect in 1950.
This day serves as a reminder of the value of being in a democratic nation and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by the chief guest Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari accompanied by Mrs Anu Tiwari followed by the National Anthem. The chief guest took the salute from the parade defined as - the Army,Navy and Air Wing of NCC;under the guidance of Ms Monika Gupta,Mr.Rahul and Mr.Lal Singh. The chief guest was given a floral welcome by Activity Incharges along with Mr.Arun Seth , Examination Incharge, Ms Inderbir Maria and other teachers .There was a large gathering of students and teachers . The Principal in his address apprised the gathering, briefly about the making of the Indian Constitution, its unique features and the fact that all students and the younger generation need to know about the Constitution , in order to understand how they have to live life in future . Soulful and rhythmically presented Musical Medley under the mentorship of music teachers Mr Rajat Kanosia and Mr.Rahul left everyone mesmerized with patriotic emotions.A thrilling parade of Pre Primary students which was a mass show of students under the able guidance of Ms Minakshi Sharma(Activity Incharge Pre -Primary) Ms Inderbir Maria(Coordinator,Pre-Primary) stunned everyone depicting India as a land of cultural diversity, with a rich tapestry of religions, languages, and traditions. Students of various classes presented a fusion of various dance forms depicting India ‘s cultural diversity under the skillful guidance of Ms Asha , dance teacher. Principal Mr.Vivek Tiwari applauded the efforts of Ms Urminder (Activity Incharge- Primary) Ms Minakshi Sharma ( Activity Incharge Pre-Primary),Ms Arashdeep (House Marshall) and anchors of the event Ms Priya Kapoor and Ms Gurpreet Kaur Pannu .Program was concluded with the echoes of slogans like "Long live Mother India" ,"Salute to Mother India."
