November 7th was an innovative and experimental day for the students in the premises of DAV Public School Patiala . Inspired, encouraged and motivated by the teachers and the parents, the budding scientists from 31different schools displayed different models and experiments with great enthusiasm and excitement.As many as 330 students from 31 schools from Patiala presented their exhibits under various themes displaying an array of projects conceived by the young minds. Mrs Anu Tiwari the guest of honour graced the occasion with her auspicious presence. The judges were as follows .
Dr Anupama Parmar (assistant professor from Punjabi University ), Dr Ranjita( assistant professor from Punjabi University), Dr Poonam Patiyar (assistant professor from Punjabi University), Dr Gagandeep Kaur (assistant professor from Thapar University), Dr Meenu Sachan from (Asian group of colleges), Dr Neha Singh from Thapar University.The event provided a platform for scientific innovations and explorations for the future. The event in itself ignited the scientific curiosity in children and gave them the right platform .
Principal Vivek Tiwari appreciated and congratulated the efforts of event coordinator Mrs Madhu Khanna and the members of science department. In his address he said that science needs to be studied beyond curriculum and requires inquisitive thinking minds. The judges declared the winning teams. Principal Vivek Tiwari thanked the panel of judges for taking the time and judging the event with patience and grace.
The result of inter school exhibition was as follows_
The theme was "funk the junk" where Frank Bohr team from Delhi Public School Patiala bagged first position, Benjamin Franklin team from DAV Public School Patiala secured 2nd position, Lord Kelvin team from Shri Guru teg Bahadur School Patiala got 3rd position and consolation prize was bagged by Alexander Graham bell team from Paradise international School Ghagga.
In science cuisine model Vikram Sarabhai team from our lady of Fatima School Patiala got first position, Linus Pauling from career academy secured second position, Daniel Fahrenheit from Budha Dal Public School got 3rd position and and Lord Kelvin Team from Shri Guru teg Bahadur Public School Patiala got the consolation prize.
In science trinkets model Benjamin Franklin team from DAV Public School Patiala bagged first position, Alexander Graham Bell team from Paradise international School Ghagga secured second position, Aryabhatt team from Gems Public School got third position and Vikram Sarabhai team from our lady of Fatima School got the consolation prize.
In melodious science model Frank Bohr team Delhi Public School got the first position, C.V Raman team from Army Public School Patiala got the second prize, Benjamin Franklin team from DAV Public School Patiala got the third prize and Vikram Sarabhai team from our lady of Fatima School Patiala got the consolation prize.
In science expedition theme Nikola Tesla team from modern senior secondary School Patiala bagged the first position, Benjamin Franklin team from DAV Public School Patiala under the guidance of ma'am Megha Manchanda got the second position and Werner Heisenberg team From Budha Dal Public School Samana got the third prize.
In an intra School activity on the same topics, about 300 students from DAV Public School Patiala participated with full zeal, enthusiasm and scientific temperament.
The exhibition witnessed much fanfare with young science enthusiasts giving a tough competition to one another. The exchange of ideas and thoughts empowered the future torch bearers and they bid adieu with a hope together again to foster a hope to learn more.
Overall students shared their ideas and collectively galvanized those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation.
