DAV Public School Patiala celebrates Dussehra and organises Mass kanjak Pujan

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at DAV Public School Patiala. Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and fervour. On this day as we celebrate valour, courage and triumph of good over evil, which holds up the significance to keep our culture and tradition alive.
On this auspicious occasion, a special morning assembly was conducted in which students of class 7th and class 2nd depicted a mesmerizing choreography of Shabri scene ,followed by Shobha Yatra at the end. The students depicted the story behind the celebration of this festival through a musical dance drama conveying a message of the teachings and values of supreme Power Lord Rama .
Beautiful presentation by the students left the audience spellbound.
Everyone enjoyed the serene atmosphere created by chanting of chaupais. To invoke the blessings of Maa Durga a beautiful dance performance depicting nine forms of Maa Durga - "Mahishasur Madani', enthralled everyone.
Teachers also shared some valuable information about festival enhancing the learning of students. Mrs Deep mala(art teacher) spoke on the importance of this holy festival and to remember that good and holy always win over evil. She also encouraged the students to speak about one such habit that they promise to elude.
The school wore a festive look when a mass kanjak Pujan was organised to Mark Navratri festivals with utmost reverence and religious power so as to invite the blessings of Maa Durga. To make it more special about 200 girls young dieties from classes nursery to UKG were worshipped as kanjaks by Principal Vivek Tiwari and staff members.
Principal Vivek Tiwari while greeting everyone on the occasion quoted that ' the celebrations bring the School community together building a close bond between the children.'' He further added that Indian culture is the most rich culture in the world ,the occasion of Navmi is the perfect epitome to display the valuable place given to the women in the society.
Everyone took an oath to kill all the internal evils .
