The DAV Public School Bhupindra Road, Patiala paid homage to 'The Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi and great revolutionary, popularly known 'Man of peace' our former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by conducting a special assembly. On this occasion Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari, along with teachers and students garlanded the portraits of both vibrant personalities who not only make their nation proud with their great endeavors but also have become the most iconic leaders of the world in history.

On this occasion, mesmerizing group song,'Rghupati Raghav Raja Ram …' and Sabarmati ke Sant was presented under the able guidance of Ms Rajneet and her team. Then Ms Deepshikha delivered a heartfelt speech highlighting the contribution of both great leaders and motivated the students by saying that we must commit ourselves for keeping the sense of truthfulness alive and strive to bring about a change for the betterment in all possible respects. The loud thunder of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan filled the students with new zeal. Here Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari urged the gathering to imbibe the values, the both great leaders stood for. He said, 'We can pay a true tribute to both the leaders by observing discipline, non-violence, patience, simplicity, sacrifice for humanity and truthfulness in our daily life'.
