Commemoration Day of Swami Virajanand , who was the Guru of Arya Samaj founder, Dayanand Saraswati Ji and Hindi Diwas was celebrated with fervor at DAV Public School Bhupindra Road, Patiala. This wonderful day was started with Vedic Yajna in which Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari and staff members offered their prayers for peace and contentment. On this auspicious occasion Mr. Vivek Tiwari acknowledged to all that It was Swami Virjanandji , who helped Dayanandji to realize the true meaning of life and understand the hidden and inner soul of Vedas. Hindi Teacher Ms. Anjali Kapoor presented her views about Swami Virjanandji and asked everyone to follow his teachings. Ms. Avinash Kaushik H.O.D of Hindi Department told us that India, known for its culture, has several different languages but Hindi language binds Indians with emotional cords. Hindi is one of the most spoken languages of the world. The language is spoken by 500 million people. Ms Manisha  presented a very meaningful poem on importance of Hindi with great enthusiasm.
A fiesta was organized and anchored by Ms Ridhi who presented Dohas in her mellifluous voice. The whole celebration was concluded by inspiring speech of Principal Vivek Tiwari . He said, “The Hindi language has a major contribution in the growth and development of our country. It tends to explore and showcase the history of ancient India and all the traditions and cultures related to it. We should mark respect and tribute to our mother tongue.
