To commemorate the birth anniversary of our  honorable first vice President, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, teacher's day was celebrated with fervor at DAV Public School Bhupindra road,Patiala. On this occasion a special assembly was organized by students single handedly where Ridhima Grang of class XI Commerce welcomed the most conscientious person Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari and worthy teachers. Following a cherished tradition of Guru Parampara, students paid a heartfelt gratitude for their teachers and mentors through medley of colorful performances to mark this great day. Principal Mr. Vivek Tiwari along with teachers paid floral tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. Tanvi of class Xl Commerce delivered a speech highlighting the role of teachers and educators to nourish and prepare the students for life itself as they are the real icons of knowledge and wisdom. Jivika of class Xll Commerce recited a poem expressing her overwhelmed emotions for teachers. A wonderful choir spell bound everyone present, with the melodious song 'Shukriya Shukriya'. Then the audience was enthralled by the mesmerizing performance of class X students who performed Bhangra and paid gratitude to their teachers in different style.

To appreciate and honor the dedication of the teachers, a fiesta was organized under the guidance of activity in-charges Ms Rajneet Kaur and Ms Urminder Kaur that was anchored by Ms Deepshikha, she welcomed the chief guest Mr. Vivek Tiwari and guest of honour Ms Anu Tiwari. Here Ms Dhanjeet presented a very meaningful poem from the side of a teacher .To fill fun and frolic in the  program interesting games were arranged by Ms Urminder and Ms Shelly Luthera in which Vivekananda House and Mr. Kartik Singh from department of Physical Education took the lead  .On this auspicious occasion Mr. Vivek Tiwari addressed the gathering and said,' Teachers are the real wealth of a nation, they  are meant to dispel all darkness. According to rich Guru Parampara, teachers should always be self motivated and should be the medium to help the students to attain their goals by creating opportunities for them .The whole celebration was concluded by honoring the all teachers with beautiful handmade cards and gifts.
