The festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolizing the affection between brother and sister was celebrated with adoration in DAV Public School, Patiala premises. In order to make the day more special and to instill the students with love and affection of relationship, tiny tots of Nursery tied handmade beautiful Rakhis to Principal Vivek Tiwari under the guidance of Ms. Meenakshi Sharma. Rakhi Making Activity was also organized for classes V and VI during which many students enthusiastically participated and made beautiful Rakhis. School NCC Cadets from Army, Air and Naval Wing visited 51 Bn ITBP, Patiala and tied self made Rakhis on the wrists of ITBP Soldiers. Cadets also presented Group Song on the occasion. Commanding Officer Sh. Brij Mohan Singh, Asstt. Commandant Smt. Jyotika Shah and SH. Ravinder Singh, NCC In-charge Ms. Monika Gupta and Ms. Akanksha Garg were also present on the occasion. Principal Tiwari while congratulating the students and staff on this devoutly religious festival quoted that ‘Such festivals are inseparable part of our culture hence they should be celebrated with reverence it is not merely tying a thread rather it pulsates sisterly love.
