A Design Thinking and Innovation Council has been established at DAV Public School in Patiala to promote mindset modification, awareness, and training in ideation, design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. As the formal inauguration took place in the school's Atal Tinkering Lab, the community was filled with pride and joy.

The mega event began with the introduction of DTI council, introduction of its members, the goals and features of the council by the faculty Incharge, Ms Upasana Madaan. She highlighted that the council would encourage unconventional thinking in school instruction, as envisioned in National Innovation and National instruction Policy 2020. The momentous day was graced by Dr. Himesh Sharma- Co founder of Skill labs Resource Service Pvt. Ltd. and Mr Bandhan Goyal, the CEO of Academic Pot- a playground for curious minds.

While addressing the budding entrepreneurs, Dr. Himesh Sharma motivated the students by focusing on unrelenting drive to break the status quo and develop anew where few have dared to go. He stated that creativity and innovation are DNA of Entrepreneurship and in addition to employability skills, it also helps in managing life skills. Mr. Bandhan Goyal focused on novelty of ideas. He lauded the efforts of the school and stated that the students should invest in themselves & feeding their curiosity so as to reach the pinnacle of success in their chosen venture. He emphasized on the need to focus on innovative solutions to real life based problems. He congratulated the members of the school council for providing them the platform of innovation and creation.

The school also proudly welcomed  its alumni Mr Lavish Pahuja who is  a promising entrepreneur in Health & Fitness Industry, Ms Gunjan Pahuja- an enterprising Yoga trainer and an entrepreneur, Mr Dev Mukherjee who is CEO & developer at Satan Corp Game Studios and Yashik a prosperous baker from Patiala, who told their success story and emphasized the significant impact DAV has done to support them in succeeding in their various industries.

Principal Vivek Tiwari praised the team's determined and committed efforts and said that DTI Council is a dream come true for the DAV students' curious minds. He added that the institution gives its students the right environment and platform to alter society via creative thinking. He joyfully announced that the school had won the School of Innovation Award a joint venture of MEPSC and CBSE, for two years in a row and was preparing for a hat-trick.

The student representatives on the school council who have already established themselves as leaders in technology and innovation were pinned badges. The students are Pranav-Class XI, Jeevika- Class  XI, Jeevansh- Class  XI, Rudra- Class  X, Abhijeet- Class  X, Ryan- Class  IX, Harnoor- Class IX, Anmol of Class VIII and Pawan of Class VIII who are proactive and have already brought laurels to the school.
