To instill the qualities of leadership, competition spirit amongst students and teachers,today House Investiture  Ceremony was solemnized in the premises of DAV Public School,Patiala.Today's function was presided over by Ms. Shaina Kapoor ( District Child Protection  Officer) .Chief guest of the day was given floral welcome by ' DAV Robo' which was built by budding innovater of the school, Rishab Roshan student of class 11 ( non - medical) .The ceremony began with recitation of Gayatri Mantra  and lightening of Lamp Of Knowledge . Later on a brief report was presented by Principal Vivek Tiwari highlighting the achievements of the session 2022-23 .It was followed by dance presentation of the students to mark international Dance Day.The budding dancers created magical aura  with their synchronized dance moves.International collaboration with Bao Thang High School,Taiwan was an added attraction of the day.As many as 25 students under leadership of Bich Mai Tina ( Head of 30 schools of Taiwan) witnessed the investiture Ceremony and extended best wishes to the newly elected office bearers. She appreciated the efforts of Ms.Dhanjeet of DAV Patiala for planning the zoom meeting.
The Investiture ceremony began with the beat of the drum.Badge ceremony of the office bearers of the newly elected House Council and School Council was administered by Chief guest Ms Shaina Kapoor and guest of honour Ms. Anu Tiwari. Newly elected office bearers are as follows : Jiya Garg( General Secretary),Japneet Pal Singh( Head Boy),,Jiya Garg ( Head Girl),Onkar Singh ( Vice Head Boy) Jeevika Garg ( Vice Head Girl) Raja Bijay Singh ( School Sports Prefect) Khushpreet Ranu ( School Sports Prefect),Ridhima Grang (School Cultural Secretary )Gaganjot Singh ( School's Best Friend) ,Aditi ( School's Best Friend),Khushi(School Volunteer),Arg Kandroo ( School Volunteer) ,Toshaan( Junior Head) Ananya( Junior Head Girl)   House Captains- Parimita, Dakshdeep, Prancjit, Pridhi ;Vice House Captains- Sanhanpreet, Sanshray, Kuratpreet, Harshit Thakur ; Junior House Captain - Anwisha, Japneet,Jenish,Reyansh ; House, Sports Prefect- Sanjana, Kayan ,Vishvajeet,Raninder,Anika,Keeratmeet ,Vani and Cultural Secretary - Kuvura, Siya ,Mehak Dhillon and Vidushi.
Gurudev Tagore House ' was announced as the Best House for the session 2022- 23.Ms.Asha Rani was applauded  for her efforts as the House Marshal.
Other special awards for outstanding performance in various fields of the school were also conferred on the employees of the school.
Badge ceremony for academic heads was also held today. Mr. Arun Seth ( Scholastic Head), Ms. Vidhu Kaushik( Co scholastic head),   Mrs Inderbir Marya, Mrs. Priya Kapoor, Ms. Kirandeep Bawa, Mrs. Geeta Sharma, Mr.Pankaj Sharma ( Level Coordinator);Ms.Deepshikha , Ms. Dhanjeet, Ms.Avinash, Ms. Rachna, Ms. Jatinder Ruprah, Ms. Ramandeep, Ms. Swaraj, Ms. Anjali Gupta, Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Mr. Ms. Monika Bhanot, Ms. Geeta, Ms. Romita, Ms. Megha, Ms Madhu Khanna  and Ms. Upasna Madaan( curriculum incharges) were presented the badges by the guests of the day.
An oath to strive hard to keep up the glory of the house and institution and the values for which DAV stands was administered by  Principal Vivek Tiwari to the new council he further congratulated the achievers and motivated the newly formed Council to abide and sweat for the upcoming session.
