DAV Patiala commemorated 200th Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti with Ashirwad Samaroh

In order to pay rich tribute to Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji on his 200th Birth Anniversary and with the mega motive to join National 2 Year Celebration flagged by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji in the honour of the legendary figure and with a pious motive of inculcating his teachings, ideologies and empathy for mankind today DAV Public School, Patiala organised 51 Kundiya Hawan Yajna while observing ‘Ashirwad Samaroh’. This endeavour is an Annual Event which is structured every year to invoke the blessings of Almighty for the success of students appearing in Board classes.
The auspicious day commenced with the warm welcome of Principal Vivek Tiwari, alongwith his better half Ms. Anu Tiwari ,and LMC members in the Hawan Yajna .
The venture was also attended by 750 students of classes VIII, X and XII. The performance of Vedic Hawan created , a religious and serene atmosphere and chanting of mantras, hymns took everyone present there in tranquillity and placidity. The final oblation was poured in by the distinguished guests , hence wishing for the success of the students, it followed by melodious bhajans Suraj ban kart ha dur kiya......, Hey Gyan Roop Bhagwan Humko Bhi Gyan De Do, Dayanand Ki Jai Bulate Chalenge....... by the melodious singers of the school. Later a play depicting the life journey of Dayanand Saraswati ji , truly won over the audience.
While addressing the august gathering Principal Vivek Tiwari quoted "Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati ji is a true epitome of progressive approach , his ideologies not only are the torch bearers for the society , but they also bring hope in many, his voice for the women empowerment gives strength and wings to many female aspirants. Above all his tireless efforts for the upliftment of poor and socially discriminated people are the true reflection for the equality “
He further added that his life is an ideal exemplar of courage, skill and compassion and we all being DAVians are his prodigies , it should be our prior concern to instil his virtues in us. The venture was monitored by Ms. Sawraj Sharma. The program culminated with the showering of flower petals and distribution of Prasad and Langar.
