In order to accustom the teachers with changing phonetics sound, correct pronunciation, with the motive of inculcation of the correct use of intonation and identifying the sound at a very young age DAV Patiala in collaboration with Blue Print organized a Mega Workshop under the aegis of Patiala Sahodaya Schools Complex. This informative venture was conducted by Dr. Arsher Jeseduss, an eminent Master Trainer. The exceptional day commenced with the warm welcoming of the Chief Guest Mrs. P. Sofat Manager of the school, Mrs. Anu Tiwari Guest of Honour and prominent personalities such as Mr. Gaurav Goyale Business Head of Blue Print, Mr. Ashwani Kumar Punjab Head of Blue Print and Mr. Rakesh Bhatia Asstt., Territory manager Blue Print and esteemed Principals. So as to invoke the blessings of almighty the  day full of learning onset with the ceremonial lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries.  The day witnessed the massive participation of as many as 130 teachers from different schools of PSSC Patiala. Throughout the workshop, the resource person touched the idea of the profound effect of the sound on the senses which he emphasized to be enhanced by listening skills at the tender age. The workshop also focused upon the use of correct phonics, blending and segmentation of letters. Supporting his lecture with useful handouts, he also delt with the correct pronunciation, intonation and throw of the voice. He also included the sounds of English alphabets as well as diagraphs such as sh, th, ai and ue and blending the sounds together to read and write new words. Teachers were also engrossed in many fun activities and they were trained with tricky words which have irregular spellings. The teachers were also taught about the use of syllables and they were made well versed with the phonic sounds. On the whole, the endeavour proved to be quite enriching one.

Principal Vivek Tiwari (President, Patiala Sahodaya Schools Complex) while addressing the august gathering quoted that with the implementation of new education policy 2020, the education system is going through a revolutionary change. Now the focus of the curriculum is on developing and strengthening effective speaking and listening skills at early childhood. Such kind of workshops make the children able to decode letters ensures proper pronunciation develops work recognition for comprehension. Above all it helps in training the teachers not only for the nation building but also for global upliftment. He also appreciated the effort made by the English department for the success of the program.
