In order to illustrate and celebrate the role of science in our lives, DAV Patiala observed science week in its premises during which number of activities were conducted, which were laid on the foundation of melange of learning through entertainment with hands on activities. The venture commenced with great vigour and by the formal welcome of Principal Vivek Tiwari by Ms. Neera Khurana (Head of department )and science faculty, to begin with  an Inter-House  Quiz under the guidance of Ms. Megha Manchanda was conducted during which students of all houses enthusiastically participated , while giving remarkable performances Swami Vivekananda House with team members Vanshika, Praduman and Yashleen Kaur stood at first position , whereas Gurudev Tagore House with Anshika, Kartik and Aryan got second position and third position was taken by Maharishi Dayanand house with Harshit , Yuvraj and Harjot as team members.

Role playing another outstanding activity was conducted under the guidance of                   Ms. Sukhman Kaur during the competition children came dressed up in colourful and meaningful attires such as holy basil, Tiger, Bear etc and were giving cut throat competition to each other during the competition first position was bagged by Taani Bhatnagar, Second position was grabbed by Jiya Goel and Third position was captivated by Sargun. Another activity Extempore on the topic – Sustainability of Environment was organised under the guidance of  Ms. Madhu Khanna, Ms Parminder Pal Kaur and Ms. Kirandeep Bawa during which Harnoor Kaur captured First position Suhana Kapoor and Revanika Mangla took second and third position respectively.

The finale activity video presentation on Innovative Ideas under the guidance of Me Monika Sharma and Ms Upasana was conducted during which Arnav Tiwari and Hitarth stood out as winners in Primary level whereas Vaibhav and Anmol were declared winners at Middle level and Waris and Angad swiped numero position at secondary level. On the same day an exhibition exhibiting the talent of as many as 60 students from primary section presenting the teaching learning Material was conducted under the guidance of Ms Kiranjeet Kaur and Ms Rajni Kapoor which further showcased the rich knacks of the young children. Per primary department of the school did not lag behind, the tiny tots under the guidance of their teachers amazed everyone with their aesthetically made poster and standees. Principal Vivek Tiwari while congratulating the science department for the massive success of the week quoted that organising such activities is highly essential for the overall growth of the students as these activities not only tap the latent talent of the children but they also provide an apt platform for enhancing their skills .
