DAV PATIALA ORGANISES 2 DAYS - MODEL UNITED NATION 2022 CONFERENCE

8^TH DAV MUN (2022), an apt platform for students & educational simulation to learning diplomacy, international relations at school & college level with the same motive DAV Patiala organized a 2 day MUN Conference during which 100 delegates from different schools of Patiala, Samana, Rajpura & Chandigarh etc. enthusiastically and zealously participated. The programme kick started with the formal welcome of Chief Guest Principal Vivek Tiwari and Guest of Honour Ms. Anu Tiwari and the sponsors of this mega event – Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Area Manager ELI Institute and Ms. Madhu & Ms. Ritu from Lakshaya Institute Patiala. To invoke the blessings of almighty the lamp of knowledge was lighten amidst the enchanting of pious Gayatri Mantra. It followed with DAV Anthem. The mega event was embellished with spiritual Sufi Performance prepared under the guidance of Ms. Asha Rani Dance Teacher of the school. The mesmerizing presentation connected everyone with the Supreme Power. Hence giving an apt beginning to the thriving event.

Later, Executive members of the formed committees – UNGA Ms. Simran Kaur Chairperson and Mr. IShan Sharma Vice Chairperson, AIPPM Moderator Mr. Ritwik Mehta, Co-Moderator Ms. Yashika Birla, Scribe Mr. Hardik Sharma, UNCSW – Mr. Chirag Kundra President,  Mr. Agamjot Singh, Vice Chairperson, Rapporteur Ms. Gaurika Chhabra, Head of IP Mr. Mayank Bhatia. It followed by the formal Opening of the Endevour announced by Lovish Kakkar Secretary General. The ceremony of Day 1 concluded with the recitation of National Anthem.

Later, the various committees – All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) started their session by throwing light on latest Education Policy 2020. The members had a detailed discussion on the prons and corns of it. Another Committee – United Nations Commission on Status of Women (UNCSW) talked about this topic Broadening Scope of Women Citizenship, Leadership and Political Participation at length & Breadth. The members of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) dialogued on the current Mobilizing financial resources for developing countries for sustainable development.

Principal Vivek Tiwari congratulated all the delegates and applauded the efforts made by Social Science Department under the guidance of Mrs. Geeta Sharma HOD. He further quoted such kind of activities are highly significant for the overall growth of the youth, hence they should be actively participated by the young minds in optimum number. He further highlighted that modern generation is oozing with modern ideas and MUN is the right platform to display their knacks exposures through these events are able footsteps by the youth to contribute for global welfare.
