DAV Patiala celebrates Renaissance…. Getting back to the roots

A rainbow of hues unfurled in  DAV Public School Patiala premises when its Annual function Renaissance …Getting back to the roots was celebrated amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Revered Daljit Singh Deputy Group Commander Colonel graced the occasion as Chief Guest Group Captain Rajesh Sharma and Colonel S.K. Sharma   graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Ms P .Sofat Manager of the school was the special gest of the day.The programme commenced with pious Vedic Hawan Yajna so as to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. The caravan of events kick started with ceremonial lighting of lamp. Later all the distinguished guests were given floral welcome .A musical fiesta medley presented by the choir of the school set up the whole atmosphere of the ambience The Annual Report stating the distinguished achievements of the school was presented by the anchors . The classical dance presentation by the students put up a spectacular show and won everyone’s applause. A tribute to Shradhanand ji was paid in a form of dramatisation. A choreography ‘My School Journey’ truly depiced the joyful ride of a student. The play showcasing the eminent and significant role of the mother behind the growth of her children was accurately displayed in the play “Mother’s Day”

Anothr event kindness to humanity closely illustrated the virtue of benevolence . It followed with the Prize Distribution Ceremony during which meritorious students who have excelled in the Academics at AISSCE and AISSE were conferred with mementoes and were lauded for their achievements, Later during his address Chief guest quoted that  “He is immensely  happy to see growth of the school and how the school motivates its students by felicitations, as these serves as an impetus and booster to the stellar performance consistently. He further urged to hone the latent talent and potential of the students so that they further carve their niche in the desired dreams”.The highlight of the event stood when the industrious teachers who tirelessly worked behind the success of the outstanding results were also bestowed with honoured with certificate of appreciations.

The cultural platter concluded with Bhangra which set the energy level soaring with breath taking performance. Principal Vivek Tiwari while expressing his gratitude on the success of the mega event proposed formal vote of thanks. The programme culminated with National Anthem, hence leaving the audience with the most engaging and memorable memories.
