DAV celebrates Grandparents day

In order to acknowledge the immense love and the bond shared by grandparents and grandchildren DAV Public School Patiala celebrated’Grand parents day ‘ with aplomb scd zest in its premises .
The program kick started with the warm welcome of the chief guest Major Surinder Singh along with his betterhalf Ms Seema , worthy Guest Mr Madan lal Hasija and Guest of honour Mr Ritin Vatrana and Mrs Anu Tiwari .
Later the plethora of mesmerising events commenced with the ceremonial lighting of lamp , followed by saluting DAV spirit with the recitation of DAV Anthem. the caravan moved with the presentation of scintillating choreography‘Vandana’ , hence paying obeisance to the supreme power and seeking his blessings . The welcome songs presented by classes Nursery and LKG while displaying their knacks gave a pleasant reception to the august gathering . A beautiful Qawali presented by tiny tots further raised the charm of the day.
Twisting of the feet by the teeny weenies of UKG compelled everyone to cheer out loud in excitement. Dramatisation and choreography by class II were also applauded by the audience. That was not all the special day dedicated to grandparents was further embellished with Antakshari , enthusiastically played by the Grandparents truly depicted the zeal of the day . The fervour of the day upscaled another height when the grandparents walked on the ramp , thus adding smile on everyone’s face .
Principal Vivek Tiwari during his address quoted that he feels immense delighted while marking this day in DAV premises as this day is not only auspicious in celebrating the bond of love rather the day also signifies the role of the grandparents in shaping up the lives of the young ones . He further added that grandparent throughout act as pillars of strength , their spectrum of experience helps in showing the righteous path to the innocent minds. Chief guest of the day praised the school for organising such meaningful celebrations . Last but not the least the foot tapping Bhangra presented by the students of class I gave an apt conclusion to the venture . The successful endeavour was prepared and presented by the pre primary wing of the school.
